Dark Autumn

The Glitter Party

It’s the time of year when some element of glitter is almost compulsory.

My easy entry into the Christmas spirit is currently the beautiful matte glitter Cosmic nail varnish from Next, and a Tatty Devine necklace. Well, I wear Tatty Devine jewellery nearly every day anyway, and I have a range of winter season necklaces that I like to wear while it’s cold – a white arctic fox, a gingerbread lady, and a snowflake.

For Christmas this year though, I have treated myself to the stunning Icicle necklace above, which sparkles like the real thing:

And this version of their classic bunting necklace, in rainbow glitter, is great to turn any outfit into a party outfit:

But this is probably the easiest way to glitter up your Christmas look – glittery hair ties that you can use instead of, or over the top of, bobbles. They are pre-tied and look like you’ve tied a ribbon in your hair. I’ve got these lovelies from Cath Kidston, but feel compelled to say that I later bought some from Primark, which are almost identical except they were a quarter of the price.
